Un million d’euros pour la santé des femmes
Lady et Lord Laidlaw, généreux et fidèles soutiens du CHPG dans l’acquisition de matériels de pointe, viennent de remettre au CHPG la somme de 1 070 000 euros.
Cette somme va permettre de financer l’achat de l’HIFU, un système d’ultrasons focalisés de haute intensité, permettant le traitement des fibromes et lésions d’endométriose.
Cet équipement sera utilisé sous IRM, dans l’optique de traitements non invasifs et sera mis en œuvre à la rentrée.
« Les fibromes utérins sont la pathologie pelvienne la plus fréquente chez les femmes en âge de procréer et beaucoup en évitent le traitement de peur de perdre la capacité d’avoir des enfants. J’espère que notre don aidera davantage de femmes à bénéficier de ce traitement innovant et non invasif et à continuer à vivre une vie heureuse et saine. »
Le Centre Hospitalier Princesse Grace remercie Lady and Lord Laidlaw pour leur soutien constant et l’avancée qu’ils vont permettre dans la prise en charge des pathologies pelviennes.
One million euros for women’s health
Lord and Lady Laidlaw, generous and loyal supporters of the CHPG in the acquisition of state-of-the-art equipment, have just donated a sum of 1,070,000 euros to the CHPG.
This donation will be used to finance the purchase of HIFU, a high-intensity focused ultrasound system for the treatment of fibroids and endometriosis lesions.
This equipment will be used under MRI for non-invasive treatments, and will be in use later this year.
« Uterine fibroids are the most common pelvic tumour in women of child-bearing age and many avoid treatment in fear of losing the ability to have children. I hope our donation will help more women to receive this innovative, non-invasive treatment and continue living happy, healthy lives,” – said Lord Laidlaw.
The Princess Grace Hospital would like to thank Lord and Lady Laidlaw for their continued support and the improvements they have made possible in the treatment of pelvic pathologies.
