Pathologies treated Our department treats patients suffering from a range of medical pathologies, but more specifically:

  • type-two diabetes, insulin pump fitting and endocrine disorders
  • renal disorders with or without renal insufficiency, acute renal insufficiency, initiation of renal replacement therapy and preparation for kidney transplants
  • neurological and neurovascular disorders
  • dermatological lesions
  • elderly patients with multiple pathologies.
Activities The Medical Specialties Department is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to diagnose and treat patients with medical pathologies.

This is a public service. Patients are admitted either directly following a consultation with one of our doctors, or in agreement with the consulting physician. These admissions are described as being on referral.

Patients without referral are admitted by the Accident & Emergency Department, subject to available capacity.

Capacity The General Medicine Department has a total of 28 inpatient beds, including:

  • Eight individual rooms with bathroom facilities, including two with showers.
  • One of these individual rooms is equipped with an air-fluidised bed to prevent pressure ulcers.
  • 10 two-bed rooms with bathroom facilities.
